Tired of shaving and waxing? Want to have smooth, hair-free skin on your legs, bikini line, face or underarms before summer s

Right now, summer may seem a long way off, but it’ll be here before you know it, and you’ll go from winter wear to beach wear in the time it takes to say “teeny bikini.” In just a few short months, you’ll be baring your body at the beach rather than hiding it under long pants and heavy sweaters.

Like most women, you probably consider shaving one of your least favorite warm-weather activities. This summer, why not give your razor the boot and enjoy the benefits of laser hair removal instead? Laser hair removal offers a wonderful alternative to shaving, waxing, and creams.

If you’re drawn to the idea of having laser hair removal, don’t wait until summer to schedule your treatments. Do it now, and you’ll be silky-smooth in time for Memorial Day.

Here at Associates in Women’s Health in Cincinnati, you can count on our team of laser hair removal aestheticians to safely and effectively laser away your unwanted hair before beach season kicks off.

About laser hair removal

Laser hair removal works by using concentrated energy to reduce or eliminate unwanted hair.

Our aestheticians use the advanced Harmony XL laser hair removal system. It utilizes rapid pulses of low-level broad-spectrum laser light energy to remove hair safely, effectively, and painlessly.

Laser hair removal can be used anywhere on your body, including your upper lip, chin, underarms, legs, bikini line, belly, or back. Generally, it isn’t recommended for the eyebrows, to protect your eyes.

What to expect

During your treatment, gentle laser energy penetrates your skin until it reaches the base of your hair follicles, which contain a pigment called melanin. When the melanin absorbs the laser energy, it heats up and withers away. Hair-producing cells are destroyed without any damage to nearby skin cells.

Laser hair removal treatments take only a few minutes. Depending on the type of hair you have, your skin tone, and the size of the area being treated, you’ll need an average of 6-10 laser sessions. Maintenance sessions may be required to maintain hair removal results.

Laser hair removal works better on darker hair than on blonde, grey, or white hair.

Following your laser hair removal treatment, you may experience minor skin irritation for several hours.
