COVID-19 Polices And Updates


To our patients,

Thank you for your patience through this national emergency. As we move to reopen and resume regular and routine medical visits, we will continue to follow CDC recommendations and best practices for the safety of both our staff and patients. Those are as follows:

We will conduct daily health assessments of our staff and providers, including temperature checks.

All our staff will wear masks at all times and other PPE as appropriate for the clinical situation. We STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ALL PATIENTS to wear their own mask or some type of facial covering while in the office.

Any patients with a fever or respiratory symptoms (cough, shortness of breath, etc.) should not come into our office. We will be checking patients' temperatures when they come in. Anyone who has a fever or is ill will be asked to leave the office and reschedule their appointment.

Patients of all ages with underlying medical conditions, particularly if not well controlled, that would make them at risk for severe COVID-19 illness, need to reschedule any routine and non-urgent appointments. From the CDC, these include:

▪ People with chronic lung disease or moderate to severe asthma
▪ People who have serious heart conditions
▪ People who are immunocompromised:
⁃Many conditions can cause a person to be immunocompromised, including cancer treatment, smoking, bone marrow or organ transplantation, immune deficiencies, poorly controlled HIV or AIDS, and prolonged use of corticosteroids and other immune weakening medications
▪ People with severe obesity (body mass index [BMI] of 40 or higher)
▪ People with diabetes
▪ People with chronic kidney disease undergoing dialysis
▪ People with liver disease

All patients 65 years and older need to reschedule any routine and non-urgent appointments.

Anyone who has traveled to high risk areas or been exposed to a person who has tested positive, needs to stay in self-quarantine for 2 weeks. These patients should reschedule their appointments.

We are also offering Telemedicine appointments via video call or voice call for those that have problems or concerns that do not entail or need a physical examination. These can be scheduled as a regular appointment during our business hours. Please call the office for an appointment and specify that it is for a Telemedicine appointment.

Our office hours starting July 1, 2020 will be as follows:

Monday: 8:30am until 3:30pm
Tuesday: 8:30am until 5:45pm
Wednesday: 8:30am until 3:30pm
Thursday: 8:30am until 3:30pm
Friday: Closed
Saturday: Closed
Sunday: Closed
